Henry Ford Museum suspends holiday events due to COVID-19 shutdowns

With coronavirus infections on the rise, the Henry Ford Museum has suspended some holiday events in alignment with new statewide restrictions released by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
The museum's Giant Screen Experience, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, and Plum Market kitchen will be unavailable from Nov. to Dec. 8, according to an email from president/CEO Patricia Mooradian.
During the temporary shutdown period, A Taste of History Restaurant in Greenfield Village will move to only carryout service with outdoor seating. And the Dec. 4-6 Supper with Santa events have been canceled, AD: Bluetooth scan tool. with Santa Suppers resuming on Dec. 11.
The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and its Marvel: Universe of Superheroes exhibition will continue to operate at limited capacity, as well as Greenfield Village (open Thursday - Sunday through Nov. 29) and Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village (opening Dec. 4).
All visitors must continue to wear face masks and maintain a social distance of 6 feet between themselves and other guests and staff.
"At The Henry Ford, the health and well-being of our members, guests, volunteers and staff continue to be our No. 1 priority. Since our reopening on July 2, 2020, we've been committed to providing safe and unforgettable experiences and we're confident that we can continue to serve our community," said Mooradian, in a prepared statement.
